Our students collaborate with various prestigious Corporates and work with them for specific durations to gain exposure to the corporate culture along with an experience of learning. As a compulsory part of the curriculum, SVKM’s NMIMS School of Business Management students are required to undergo Summer Internship with an organization for a period of 2-3 months. However, we encourage students to take up any number of live projects parallel to their academics during 2 years for their learning. SVKM’s NMIMS School of Business Management welcomes Corporates on board each year to engage with us through different avenues like competitions, events, live projects, summer internships, and ultimately the Final Placements. Each year, our industry-ready students with their exceptional hard work, talent, and perseverance make us proud with their saga of achievements and bag the best placement opportunities.

The Placements & Corporate Engagements (PCE) at SVKM’S NMIMS Navi Mumbai undertakes the campus placement activity.

Once an organization confirms its participation, the information provided by it is made available to the students. This is followed by the process of deciding the slots for the placement process for the respective organizations. This is done to ensure that the process goes on smoothly and with minimal logistical inconvenience. Once the slots are decided, the dates of the placement processes are fixed and the same will be communicated to the organizations.

Organizations are required to follow the following rules for placement process:

1. Organizations wishing to recruit students from the NMIMS Navi Mumbai Campus will have to communicate their interest for the same, by filling the NMIMS Placement Form. The filled-up placement form has to be sent by posting it to the specified address provided either in the placement brochure or by email to the Navi Mumbai Placements – nmimsnavimumbai.placements@nmims.edu
2. The following details are used to allocate the slots: Job profile being offered, compensation and benefits, geographical location and mobility, number of positions offered, etc. The procedure for allocating slots for prospective recruiters during the placement process will be according to the convenience of both the parties and/or accommodated on mutually convenient days.
3. The Placement process will comprise of:
• Pre-Placement Talk (PPT). During the pre-placement talk, the recruiter will make a presentation about the organization, the job profile and respond to the queries of students.
• Collection and handling of CVs of interested candidates to the recruiter.
• Selection process by the recruiter.
• Handing over the list of selected candidates to the coordinator
4. Organization should confirm selection of students in writing before leaving NMIMS Navi Mumbai campus.
5. NMIMS Navi Mumbai must receive the appointment letters of the selected students within seven days of the selection process.
6. All organizations are requested to prepare a waiting list, in addition to the list of students selected for recruitment.
7. No one-to-one interaction by the recruiter is allowed with the candidate before the final selection.

The Placement Committee of NMIMS Navi Mumbai conducts a series of activities that takes place all year round under Maven Talks. These include conducting guest webinars, corporate workshops, alumni relations, pre-placement talks and batch preparations. The theme for this year’s webinar series is Maven Talks 2.0 - CEO Series, where we invite the distinguished CEOs of various companies from diverse industry domains as our guest speakers. Every Maven Talks session holds immense value and an exceptional opportunity for our students to interact and learn from such industry leaders who guide and enlighten the students from their vast pool of experience and expertise.
