ROZGAR MELA @ NMIMS NAVI MUMBAI I SUNDAY 17 JUNE 2018

Unemployment is a serious problem of India and it is becoming more and more serious day by day. The need of the hour is - employment opportunities.

Keeping this aim in mind, the team of NMIMS Navi Mumbai led by Prof. PN Mukherjee, Director, Dr. C. S. Adhikary, Professor and Faculty-Incharge (CSR Activities), staff and students organised the Rotary Rojgar mela on its campus successfully on 17th June 2018. The success of this great initiative is obvious through its outcome - 130 jobs were offered to unemployed youth with qualification of 10th and 12th.

This is the second event organized by the NMIMS Navi Mumbai CSR committee within a span of three months. The earlier event was a free eye checkup camp organised on 18th Feb. 2017.

NMIMS Navi Mumbai sincerely thanks its CSR Partner - Rotary club of Navi Mumbai Sunrise Kharghar, for being the principal organisation to organise and fund such mega events. Rotary and NMIMS Navi Mumbai will partner with each other to organize many such CSR activities and events in future also. The next event on the anvil is the plantation drive to be taken up in July 2018.

The NMIMS Navi Mumbai Rozgar Mela had as many as six companies participate in this drive - namely: Pidilite Industries, Sodexo, Reliance ADG, NSS, Kavya and Innov turned up. TISS, our second CSR organising partner was responsible for getting successful participation from these companies. Once the offer is accepted, all the selected candidates will undergo a training at TISS and after one month they will join the companies.

NMIMS Navi Mumbai is proud to have organized the Rozgar Mela and our team looks forward to making innumerable such positive contributions to the society.
