The NMIMS Department of International Linkages (DIL) fosters partnerships with premier institutions around the world to enhance NMIMS standing as a world-class institution. Towards the University’s Vision to be a globally admired University by 2030, DIL has actively engaged with leading institutions around the world to foster student and faculty exchange, research collaboration and cross-cultural learning. Active international partnerships lead to exciting opportunities for faculty and students and provide the environment for high-quality research. Our work focusses on enhancing existing partnerships and seeking out new opportunities in line with NMIMS international strategy.

AFFILIATIONS

International assignments for Teaching, Research and Consultancy and to explore possible Exchanges are a regular feature at NMIMS Deemed to be University (as per UGC Norms). Study Tour Programs are often held wherein students and faculty members from International Educational Institutions visit our campus.

Visualising the onset of globalisation, the University has established international linkages with:

NMIMS is a member of global management school networks like European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (MDISA).

New Partnerships and Collaborations:

1. University of Leeds

NMIMS has signed an Academic and Research Collaboration Agreement for development of collaborative research projects, organisation of joint academic activities like courses, conferences, seminars, exchange of research and teaching personnel, exchange of students, etc. Leeds University is ranked in the top 100 Universities (#93) as per QS WUR.

2. Columbia University - School of Professional Studies

NMIMS signed a non-degree agreement for Educational and Cultural Collaboration whereby NMIMS students may enrol in the Columbia University School of Professional Studies for integrated, academic year and summer study programs. Columbia University is ranked 16th as per THE WUR 2020 and # 3 in national universities as per US News 2020

3. Virginia Tech

NMIMS and Virginia Tech extended this partnership for NMIMS B Tech programs in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. University is ranked # 74 in National universities as US news 2020 & 201- 250 as per THE WUR 2020.

4. University at Albany -State University of New York

An articulation agreement was signed for the 2+2 Dual Degree Program in Business Administration. SUNY Albany. University is ranked # 147 in national universities by US News 2020 and 351-400 by THE WUR.

5. Stevens Institute of Technology

NMIMS already has a dual degree agreement with Stevens Institute of Technology for the MPSTME, MBA Technology Management Program students. Now, both the institutions have collaborated for a Dual Degree Business Analytics Program – MBA – School of Management Bangalore campus & MS Business Intelligence and Analytics, School of Business, Stevens Institute of Technology. This program is ranked in the top 10 Analytics programs in the US. University is ranked #74 in National Universities by US News 2020.

6. University of Wollongong

NMIMS has signed an MOU with the University of Wollongong to promote academic cooperation between both institutions.

7. Dalhousie University

NMIMS has signed an MOU with Dalhousie University, Canada to facilitate student exchange program at the undergraduate level. The 2020 QS WUR ranked the university 280th in the world, and eleventh in Canada.

8. University of Bristol

NMIMS has signed an MOU with University of Bristol, ranked in the top 50 universities worldwide and in the top 10 UK Universities, to promote academic cooperation between both institutions

9. Stony Brook University, NY (State University of New York)

An MOU was signed with Stony Brook University on 24th July 2019. It is ranked 251-300 as per THE WUR 2019 & top 80 as per US News & World report.

DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES @ NMIMS NAVI MUMBAI

NMIMS Deemed to be University (as per UGC Norms) is increasingly becoming global in its operations over a period of time. This momentum is going to grow. Our International Office handles all overseas operations of the University. The operations include:

  • Managing Faculty and Student Exchange Programs
  • Negotiations with Foreign Universities
  • Targeting markets for international students in our programs.

Functions of the Office

  • Manage Student Exchange Programs
  • The orientation of students of both outgoing and incoming
  • Providing language skills for both outgoing and incoming
  • Monitoring the performance of incoming students
  • Arrange industrial visits for incoming students in cooperation with the Dean of the concerned School.
  • Facilitating on all legal fronts, including visa-related issues.
  • Facilitate the residents of students.
  • Make them feel at home.
  • Manage Faculty Exchange Programs
  • Negotiations with foreign universities
  • Target markets for sourcing students.
  • Promote NMIMS programs and students in foreign markets.
  • Participate in international exhibition and fairs to promote NMIMS Deemed to be University (as per UGC Norms) programs.

Students at NMIMS benefit a great deal from the exposure and experience gained from one of our many initiatives with other International Universities.
