This year, NMIMS’ School of Technology Management & Engineering (STME) conducted the 6th Edition of IGNITE, the flagship event of STME from 20th December 2023 to 22nd December 2023 and the annual technological college festival of NMIMS Navi Mumbai. The event, usually called IGNITE 6.0, lived up to its reputation as one of the most highly anticipated annual college festivals of Navi Mumbai.
This celebration of innovation and creativity brought together students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts to showcase projects, learn from experts, and network. With the eyes and expectations of hundreds on them, the organizing team spared no expense to make the sixth installment, IGNITE 6.0, a memorable one.
The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana, and the NMIMS Anthem. The campus Director Dr. Shubhasheesh Bhattacharya felicitated chief guests, Dr. Sachidanand Dubey and Mr. Hemant Kalra. Dr. Dubey, a medical professional and biology teacher, emphasized the impact of technology on social life and highlighted the crucial parameters for success: knowledge, skill, and attitude. Mr. Hemant Kalra, Senior Vice President at Quality kiosk Technologies Pvt Ltd, discussed artificial intelligence, urging individuals to embrace it for knowledge enhancement. Dr. Bhattacharya encouraged fair play, collaboration, dedication, and the pursuit of success, stating, "Let ambition be your guide, and passion your torch." Prof. Aditya Kasar celebrated ingenuity and creativity, quoting Einstein: "The true sign of genius is not knowledge but creativity."
Finally, Prof. Tejaswini Chavan concluded with a vote of thanks, quoting Dr. Abdul Kalam.
With this, The IGNITE Head and Co -head, Ritika Amaresh and Sumukh Gour officially declared IGNITE 6.0.
In retrospect, IGNITE 6.0 stands as a testament to more than just technological prowess; it embodies a community-driven celebration where success and enjoyment seamlessly converge. Participants dispersed with smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment in their hearts, having been part of a tech fest where triumphs were shared, and enjoyment took center stage.
IGNITE 6.0, a symphony of triumphs and jubilation, left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who attended.
